Income Ideas and Money Making Magic
by: Kay Forgione
Instant Income Generators: There are obviously many ways to make money online, some simple, some quite complicated... If you're relatively new to Internet marketing, this 5-part course is particularly suited for you. It details one of the most simple, yet most effective formulas for making money online that you'll find. Trust me, if this course can work for my dad, a retired naval officer who knows next to nothing about online marketing, it can work for you if you simply put it to use. ...So with that, let's get started! Affiliate programs, most of which are free to join, can be an excellent way to make money online. But they, like anything else, require use of the proper tools and resources if you're to expect any kind of significant success. That's the thing. Way too many people hope or even expect to make money online without any type of investment. I can tell you right now, if that is what you're expecting, you might as well call it quits before you even get started. I am only being honest! What you should expect is a modest investment of your time and (ideally) money. Though you can succeed without investing a dime, it will likely take you significantly longer than if you're willing to set aside a small budget specifically for online advertising. Now, the first step in our 5 part formula is to find one or several good affiliate programs to join. As an affiliate, your job is simply to send visitors to the website hosting the affiliate programs. For each visitor you send who then decides to order, you are paid a commission. Affiliate programs are attractive for beginners in particular because you don't have to worry about processing payments, delivering products, & etc. And again, most affiliate programs cost absolutely nothing to participate in. Indeed, these are advantages for most any person looking to make money online, beginner or otherwise. However... In order to make significant amounts of money through affiliate programs, you'll still need the proper tools and resources. We'll cover those later. Right now it's time to choose your first affiliate program! You can find various affiliate program directories by doing a search for 'affiliate program directory', 'associate program directory', etc., at Google.com. Here is a good directory to start with: http://www.associateprograms.com Now, when choosing affiliate programs, here are 10 keys to look for: 1. Ideally, choose an affiliate program that promotes products or services you enjoy! 2. Choose a program that offers high commissions, preferably 30% or higher. 3. Look for programs that offer residual, weekly or monthly income. 4. Look for a program that offers a product you would purchase yourself. Chances are, if you're interested in the product, many others are as well. 5. Look for a program with a good sales conversion rate. You can email the program operator and ask for statistics and proof of sales conversion rates. 6. Choose an affiliate program that provides a good set of promotional tools and resources that you can use to promote the program. 7. Look for a program that caters to a growing market or target audience. 8. Watch out for pyramid schemes. Participate only in programs that offer real, viable products. 9. Look for a program that targets a wide audience - not a small niche that could be saturated quickly. 10. Look for a programs that pay. Luckily, it's a small percentage, but there are dishonest program operators out there. If necessary, ask the program operator for the contact info of a few other affiliates. One affiliate program that meets all of the above criteria, besides points 1 and 4 which you'll have to determine for yourself, is the program you'll find here: http://www.pushbuttonpublishing.com/affiliates/t.php?rid=3022 (Click on the "Get Paid" button after reaching the page above) PushButtonPublishing.com or PBP as we'll call it, provides online business owners and affiliates with virtually everything needed to start and run an online business (of most any type) in one convenient location, for one unbeatable price or for FREE by referring just one new PBP member per month! Click here to learn more about this excellent resource: http://www.pushbuttonpublishing.com/affiliates/t.php?rid=3022 So, if Internet marketing and making money online is "your thing" and I'll assume it is since you're reading this course, I highly recommend signing up for the PBP affiliate program as I'm confident it will be one of your top performing programs. And don't forget, it will never cost you a penny to join and participate as a PBP affiliate. You are offered the same commissions as monthly members! Tomorrow, stay tuned for Part 2of 5 Simple Steps to an Internet Cashflow ... for Newbies! And make sure you've signed up for at least one good affiliate program by then (if not PBP, then another program that you feel comfortable with)! Here for Your Success,

You don't need to have a website to make money on the Internet. Here is a proven strategy to make money online without a website:
Step 1: Find Affiliate Product
Find a product to promote where you make good commission on each sale. Generally, you will get the biggest commissions on digital products. Digital products are defined as something that is downloaded directly to a customer's computer after purchasing, like electronic books or software.
Since there is no extra cost per unit, no inventory and no shipping, the commissions are much greater than on regular "physical" goods. The most common commission on digital products is 50%. The best place to find such products is Clickbank.com.
Sign up as a reseller (also called affiliate) for a product that looks the most appealing to you. After you sign up, you will get a unique affiliate link where you need to send people to purchase the product.
Your affiliate link will have a special code that will tell the product owner that it's you who referred the customer. The affiliate link code will allow your commissions to be tracked correctly and assigned to you.
Step 2: Get Domain Name
Get a domain name to redirect to your affiliate link. A domain name is a .COM name (like yourproduct.com). You can get it for under $9 at GoDaddy.com. GoDaddy.com will allow you to redirect your domain name to your affiliate link at no extra cost.
So when someone types in your .COM domain in their browser, it will go to your affiliate link. The visitor will see the website with the product you promote, and the commissions will be tracked correctly.
The reason why you need a domain name is that it's memorable and it makes you look more trustworthy. Affiliate links tend to be too long and arouse suspicion. For example, most people would rather click on the link bestwidgets.com as opposed to abcwidgets.com?reseller=john
A domain name will make your affiliate link look like it's your own website. So basically, you will have a product to promote and a website to send people to and get commissions - without really having your own website.
Step 3: Drive Traffic
In order to make sales, you need to get visitors to your domain name (which will forward them to the website of the product that you resell). You can pay for advertising and hope that your profit will be greater than advertising cost, or you can use free ways to generate traffic.
The most effective way to get free targeted visitors to your domain name is by writing and submitting articles. You can write short articles on the topic related to the product that you promote. At the end of the article, you include your author bio and your domain name link.
You will then submit your articles to various websites, and allow them to publish your articles as long as your link is included. Your articles will get published in many places on the Internet, and will be advertising your affiliate link at no cost to you whatsoever. People will read your articles, like what you have to say and click on your domain name link ready to buy.
Once you start getting regular sales from your articles, you can go back to step 1 and find another product to promote using this strategy. After a while, you will build up a nice source of Internet income - without even having a website.
It's Not Brain Surgery, It's Just An Online Home Based Business
by: Kirk Bannerman
Back when I first started my online home business I didn't have a clue concerning how to go about it. I had never done any Internet marketing, and didn't know anything about websites or search engines or any of that other online business stuff...in short, I was a complete rookie. In retrospect, the two major things that really helped me was that I refused to be intimidated and I kept a realistic perspective (both in terms of initial financial results and the time frame necessary to become successful). I know from my own years of experience that relatively few business ventures are started on the Internet by people with the experience, motivation, determination, backing, and support that it takes to even have a reasonable chance of success. Real online business people are those who work hard, who immerse themselves deeply in marketing and advertising, and who put in long hours in the beginning in order to see their Internet-based businesses succeed. Achieving success in an online business is not difficult to comprehend. There is indeed a learning curve, but it's not brain surgery. The process of learning isn't as much the issue as are the personal traits of motivation and determination. Develop your marketing plan and execute it. There's no magic in this online home based business stuff. We're talking real world here. It's not nearly as romantic as winning the lottery, yet many of the thousands of people I have helped to start up their home businesses on the Internet clearly came in with what I have come to refer to as the "magic/lottery" mentality. Many of those folks went off to chase another rainbow after a few months, but some of them also came to their senses and buckled down to develop very successful home based businesses. Run, don't walk, away from all of those people that offer you "shortcuts" or "success secrets" (probably in exchange for some of your money). I mean, if they had it all figured out, why would they sell this "magic answer" to you for a few bucks instead of just keeping it private and then making tons of money for themselves? (I'll leave it to you to connect the dots) A key point to always keep in mind is that...business is business. Regardless of whether you are on the Internet or operating a business in a shopping mall. The same fundamental principles apply to both businesses. 1) You need to have a product, or products, to sell. 2) You need to advertise to get customers to buy your products. 3) You need to provide support to your customers who buy your products as a result of your advertising efforts. 4) You need to build a loyal customer following, so you can maintain a profitable business over a period of time. Many people fall into the trap of believing that because they are doing business on the Internet, some of these steps can either be skipped or they need to overemphasize one area or another. The bottom line regarding an online business is that you will need to advertise and you will need to take care of your customers. Run your online home business just like a real company because it is, in fact, a real business and you have a real opportunity to either be successful or to fail. The primary difference between an online business and a traditional business is location (no traditional "storefront"). Nearly everything else is essentially the same. You have products and your objective is to sell those products to people who want/need your products. Remember, building a business takes time, determination, and patience. Far too many people seem to think that the traffic is just going to pour in once they have put up their own website on the Internet. As anyone who has had a website for a while knows...this simply is not true, but it is often the reason people get frustrated and quit. The fact of the matter is that you need to diligently promote/advertise your website in order for your online home based business to flourish and prosper. One of the most important bits of advice that I can pass on to you is that you must be patient. Most people start their online home business with great enthusiasm and high expectations. Often, after a few months, they become disappointed and frustrated because they are not already making a large amount of money. These impatient home business entrepreneurs then often start to jump from one program to another every few months (never allowing themselves enough time to succeed at any of them) and, finally, throw up their hands in frustration and declare that they just can’t make money online. Stick with your business and don’t give up. Dogged persistence (much like the tenacity of a pit bull) is an absolutely vital key to your eventual success. Don’t give up when things become frustrating and you are not achieving the immediate success you expected. Give your online home based business sufficient time to develop and you realize the success you are seeking. There is nothing magical about running an online home based business. It should be run the same as any traditional "bricks and mortar" business and it will succeed or fail depending on the time and effort you put into it. There are many very ordinary people working at home and making a very good living on the Internet, will you be the next one? |
Make Money at Home - Learn the Secrets Before Starting...
by: Michael A Fowler, M.B.A.
To a lot of people, network Marketing seems an arduous task. But it doesn't have to be that way. Networking can be very rewarding and you can have fun while learning how to make money at home. Advertising can be accomplished in many different ways. Car stickers to sign posts and beer mats have been used consistently. Business cards coveniently placed in Hotels, Taxi Ranks, Airport departure lounges and hundreds of other suitable venues have produced good results. Making money online doesn't have to be pursued online. To make money on the Internet, you just have to communicate through all the known mediums available. Be proud of what you represent and make sure that others know you are proud of your business. If you aren't proud of it, then go find something else that you can be proud of representing. You do not need a highly priced business to make money on the internet. In fact, the lower the price, the more interest your business will receive. Now this is where people go astray ... Network Marketing is about leverage. It is not about signing up thousands of people in your first week. It's about finding just a few people who find a few people ... and so on. Remember, the drop out rate for highly priced businesses are substantially more than for the lower priced options. Affordability is a key factor in retaining your associates and your associates are the key factors that allow you to make money at home. Looking after, supporting and mentoring those associates should be your prime purpose in life. They are the people who will ensure your success. In some businesses, you will not find any support whatsoever. Those are the ones to avoid. Also take a look and see if there is a good marketing system in place. If there isn't, you could run up a sizeable bill in marketing your business with external resources. Remember, the whole point in starting and maintaining your business is to make money, not to spend it on resources that should have come with the business model. While automation plays a part in todays marketing environment, it is the personal touches that make the sale. That follow up phone call to say hello, makes a whole lot of difference between success and failure. To make money online, you have to communicate with those who have taken an interest in your business and you have to assure them that you are the person they need as a sponsor. Are you that dependable person?
Make Money Online Using Keyword Articles
by: Paul Jesse
Copyright 2005 Paul Jesse Routing traffic to your web page is incredibly important in order to make money online. However, you probably have noticed that getting your web page noticed and returned as a high ranking result from the search engines is difficult. However, to make money online, there are a couple of tips you can use that will help you increase the traffic to your page. First, you will need to do a little research to see where your page ranks in a variety of different search engines. When you know this information, you will be able to take action and become better than your competitors whose pages are being returned as higher relevant results. In order to make money online, no matter where you rank in the results, if it is less than number one you have some work to do. So, take a look at all the web pages that are ranked higher than yours and see what these pages have that yours does not. Evaluating your competition will help your Web page become stronger and more competitive, something that is important to your bottom line. You need to do this kind of research for all the different keywords that pertain most to your Web page and that people search for the most often. You want your web page to rank high in the results for a number of keywords, so be diligent about researching what is other web pages are doing and what you can do to make your page be returned higher in the results. One great way to improve your web page listing for a variety of keywords and phrases is to use keyword articles on your web page. This will allow you to provide useful information for web surfers as well as include keywords that will help your page get noticed. When it comes to keyword articles, it is not difficult to write them or have them written. First, you need to have a list of the most popular keywords and phrases people search for, and then write articles that include useful information that states the exact keyword phrase multiple times. When someone searches for that particular term, your page will be returned as a high result as long as you are outdoing your competition. However, when it comes to outdoing your competition regarding keywords and search engine results, make sure you are providing relevant, useful and pertinent information. If you are doing that, when people get to your page they will be more likely to stay. Finally, if the keyword articles get your web page ranked higher in search engine results as they should, do not feel as if they will stay that way. There is more competition on the Web every day, which means you will have to be diligent about continuously tracking your competition, what they are doing, and where your web page ranks in the search engine results. You may have to make changes according to your competition, but this is part of business. |

Making Money Online With Affiliate Programs
by: Tom Worsley
If you are like most work from home internet business owners you want your web site to be making you as much money as possible. The choice of affiliate programs that you choose to promote on your web site will determine how much money you actually make, and the options to you are endless. There are so many affiliate programs on the internet promoting almost everything imaginable its mind boggling. Of coarse there is one major key to success. Stay relevant to your main web sites theme or subject matter. If for example you own a sports related web site and you add cosmetic and make up ads to it, chances are you are not going to do well. But if you put ads for health and fitness supplements on your sports oriented web site you may interest a few people into buying those products earning you a commission. So if you have a work from home website were do you find good affiliate programs to join in order to earn commissions? One of my top paying affiliate programs is Strong Future International. (SFI) Some of you no doubt have heard of SFI since thy have been around for quite a few years now And I have been an affiliate since November 1999. SFI products include everything from books magazines and business building tools to multivitamin supplements and all natural household cleaners. All can be promoted on your web site in order to earn commissions and make money online with your web site. My next big commission generator is ClickBank. ClickBank is actually a directory of affiliate programs. People join ClickBank in order to promote their products online. Once they are in the ClickBank data base webmasters like you and me who are looking for good content and commissions from our web sites can join their affiliate programs and start earning money from sales generated. If you own a work from home site take a look at some of the products at the following web page CLICK HERE. OH and did I mention ClickBank sends out commission checks very 2 weeks! Affiliate Fuel pays both for leads and products sold, meaning you can actually earn commissions simply by referring people to a specific site. All the person has to do is click on a link that you place on your website which is directed to a page with a form to fill out. The person fills out the form requesting more info and bingo you are credited with the referral and awarded a commission. Websponsors is another affiliate program much the same as Affiliate Fuel. These cost per action affiliate programs are great for adding revenue to your bottom line through your web site. Last but not least Google ad sense has become so popular among webmasters you can see their ads on every other web site that you visit. With google you put ads on your site and you are actually paid every time someone clicks on those ads. In one month last August I made over $500 from Google ad sense alone. Of coarse none of the above mentioned affiliate programs will make you a single dime unless your site is generating significant targeted traffic. But if you are already generating good quality targeted traffic to your site give them a try. You will be surprised at just how easy it is to make money online with affiliate programs.
My Secret Recipe For Home Business Success.
by: Michael Ditch
A few months ago I decided to jump into an online marketing business. I thought that it couldn't be all that difficult to make money online. The genius in me thought that I would be able to figure this marketing thing out. After all it wasn't exactly rocket science. I've spent hours promoting my web site. I began dropping my links, and submitted my advertisements, here and there, trying to sell products to earn a commission. As the days turned to months, I was quickly getting little, or nothing for my efforts. Frustrated, and disgusted with the results that I was having, I was ready to throw in the towel. The methods that I used to promote my business did not produce the results that I wanted to see. But just the same I kept right on doing those same things over, and over again. In order to produce the results that I desired, I had to change. Of course, to change, I had to learn a different way of doing things. That also meant that I had to be open to learning new ideas. So for me it was right back to school learning the basics. The only problem was, I never really started there to begin with. The most basic ideas can have a profound affect on your success. Here’s a rule that I now live by. It is a rule that is very basic, but has been very helpful with keeping me on track, and it has given me something to always shoot for. I have discovered the importance of writing down my goals, and yes it has to be written down. If you do not write them down it might get forgotten, or lost, that translates into wasted time. A written goal on the other hand can pave the road to success, and here is how. I write down a short-term goal like this one. I want to make $100 dollars this month. I then write underneath what I need to do to achieve that goal. In this case I would have to sell X amount of products, or services to make that $100. Then I jot down the individual steps that I need to take to sell that quantity of products, or services. Example: My Goal is to make $100 dollars this month. I need to sell 15 of this product. Step 1: Advertise by pay per click! Step 2: Learn how to use pay per click! Step 3: Tell my prospects about my product. Ect… By doing this very simple exercise you create a road map, a checklist to follow. Now we have a direct path that will lead us to accomplishing the goal that we set out for ourselves. The concept is very basic, and it works every time. As you walk through each step you come one step closer to achieving that goal. By achieving that goal you have just witnessed success. There are more things that will need to happen before you see absolute success, but writing down your goals it is a good place to start. You may want to brush up on your online marketing skills. I found a single web site that has made it much easier for me to sell products on-line. Thanks to my new resource I am getting taught the A,B,C’s to online marketing. You see the other things that need to happen for anyone to see success is being taught the fundamentals. The fundamentals are the foundation of which everything is built on. Not too long ago I was on the fast track to failure because of the way my mind was programmed. I had FEAR, “The Fear Of Money”. I was so afraid of losing money, the fear was stopping me from making money. This same fear is guilty, for stopping countless people, from even trying to make their vision become a reality. I know that in this business I am not alone when it comes to fear. So if you have home business, and you experience this fear you will have to reprogram the way you think. This fear will most certainly hold you back from making your piece of the Internet’s wealth. Instead of fearing losing money promoting your business, and products. "Concentrate more on the making money part"! The thought of making money sounds, and feels better much than the thought of losing money. Think what steps do I need to take to sell this product, or service. How can I tell everyone about my web site. I suggest doing a little research there are many ways to attract people to a web sit. I like writing articles, using pay per click services, sending emails out with funny jokes signed with love and please visit my web site at http://www….com. Have faith in your products. If you have good products they will sell themselves with a little help from you ad page. Remember if you build it they will come. If you don’t they won’t Most importantly honor you vision. Donald Trump said if you want to be successful "love what you do!" We are always good at things that we love to do. That’s why it is important to love it, or leave it!

Probably the best piece of advice I will ever give you....
by: Richard Grady
Copyright 2005 Richard Grady Let's face it, setting up a website business is pretty easy when you compare it to, say, opening a shop or restaurant or other 'offline' business. It doesn't cost a lot of money and if you are prepared to learn, you will probably be able to do most of the work yourself. Even if you prefer to hire people to do the work, you can do this very cheaply by using one of the many 'freelance' sites that exist exactly for this purpose. With this in mind, probably the best piece of advice I will ever give you in relation to your Internet business is this: 'When you are making money with a website, keep your mouth shut!' In other words, don't go telling everyone about your site and how much you are earning. Don't share this information with your 'friends' on the forums you visit each day, don't tell your friends in the offline world, don't tell anyone that you can't trust 100%. Why? Because the world is full of copycats - people that cannot come up with their own original ideas but who are happy to rip off other people's ideas for their own financial benefit. Now of course, this happens in the offline world too but far more work and money is involved in opening a new restaurant just down the road from another similar business that is already doing well. Even if you could be bothered with the work and could afford to do it, you would still have to face your competitor every single day knowing that you have basically done something that could have had a huge impact on that person's income and the quality of life enjoyed by their family. Most people would not want to be in that situation. Online this isn't the case. It costs next to nothing to throw up a new site and it is unlikely that you will ever have to face the competitor that you have ripped off. This means that people do it all the time, so I repeat my comment above, if you have a business online that is making money, keep it to yourself. Now of course, I am guilty of breaking my own rule in some respects - to the left of this sentence is an advertisement that states a monthly income which is available for everyone to read. This is because there are exceptions to the rule.... Part of my own income is generated from the Internet marketing industry and the competitiveness of this industry means that to have any chance of success, you must already have achieved a degree of success in other areas online. Often, the mark of success is the level of income your businesses are generating. Here's the thing though, I own several online businesses that no one in the Internet marketing industry knows about and they generate just as much income for me as my 'public' businesses. Some of my closest friends don't know about these websites! These sites quietly generate income and several are in completely untapped markets with little/no competition. If I were to reveal the markets, I would be flooded with competition in hours. I am not alone - most successful Internet marketers keep their cards close to their chests - why wouldn't they? It is daft to start shouting about what is making you money as this simply tempts the copycats out and into the game. Making a success of any business is hard enough but to invite competition is crazy! If at some point you decide you want to venture into the Internet marketing 'how to' industry then do as I have done and make a couple of your sites high profile but keep the big money earners a secret. Which brings me to another point - a lot of people first try to make money online in the Internet marketing arena and this is a big mistake. This is an incredibly competitive area and there is just as much money to be made in other markets and most of the time it is, quite simply, a heck of a lot easier.... Think about it, in the Internet marketing industry you are usually pitching to other people that have a much higher awareness of sales techniques than 'normal' people. You are used to pop ups, autoresponders, newsletter lists, free ebooks etc and know that they are all designed to get you to spend money. Thing is though it works but how much better would it work in an industry where the customers don't have the same level of awareness? I can tell you - a LOT better :-) |
Setting your Online Business Up for Success!
by: Charles & Susan Truett
There is a common misconception that an "online business" requires no investment...that you can make money online without spending any. When we hear this from people who are desparately trying to build a successful online business it makes us angry! We believe the misconception is primarily due to all of the hype and false promises that arrive daily in our inboxes. Emails promising us that we can make millions of dollars with no financial output while we sit at home and do nothing. It's insane and it's not the truth. The truth is that you must treat an online business just as you would a business in the conventional world. You must plan on investing time, money and effort to ensure your success. The good news is that your investment in an online business will be MUCH, MUCH less than that of a business in the conventional world. With an online business, there are essentials that you must have in order for your business to run smoothly and become successful. You can literally run an effective online business for $100-$200 a month. Later in this article, we will show you how you can access many of these essentials in one place for less that $10.00 a month! But first... Here are six essentials that you MUST have to run your online business. 1. Your Own Website This includes a domain name and web hosting for your site. You must have a central place to send your customers, even if you are selling multiple products or services. 2. A Professional Autoresponder An absolute MUST for any online business. If you're not using an autoresponder, you're losing money! That's the bottom line. Your autoresponder should have the ability to create subscriptions via email and web form and should be a professional one with no ads! Fr~e autoresponders look unprofessional and they are not reliable. 3. Ad Tracker This is probably the most underused tool that we know of. Consider this - most people who are NOT making money on the Net have never used an Ad Tracker. Yet, ALL of the people that we know who ARE making money on the Net - use one daily. It makes no sense to spend money and time on advertising if you're not going to be able to determine which ads are producing and which ones are not. An Ad Tracker will solve this problem and save you time and money in the long run. 4. Products or Services You must have something to sell! This can be a service such as web or graphic design, an mlm/affiliate program or products, tangible or digital. If you don't have a specific product or service in mind, there are thousands of profitable digital products that come with resell rights. This means you can resell them and keep 100% of the profit! 5. You must know HOW and WHERE to advertise to bring targeted prospects to your Website! You can save yourself a tremendous amount of time, money and frustration by learning the effective advertising methods that are available online. There are countless worthless ones that are simply a waste of time. If you're new online, you won't know this unless you find someone who is successful online and follow their lead. Find a mentor or a membership site that offers step by step Tutorials on online promotion. Make sure that the tutorials are updated frequently to keep up with the changing times of the Internet! 6. Leads The lifeline of any online business! Just because you have a website and products to sell, that doesn't mean you're going to make money! To make money, you must drive targeted visitors to your website. There are THOUSANDS of companies on the web that sell Leads but if you just pick one out of the blue, it's trial and error. Do some research and find a good source for leads. Again, you can achieve this by finding someone who is succcessful and following their lead. Or join a membership site that includes Leads as a part of their package. We promised we'd tell you about a membership site that includes many of these essential items in one place. Have a look at http://www.viralprofits.com With your membership, you get a professional autoresponder, ad tracking, Leads, Digital Products with resell rights, step by step training tutorials AND you can earn money by referring others to the site. The tutorials are updated frequently and NEW products are added each month so that you always have something new to offer your customers! So there you have it. With these six essentials, you've got the foundation for a successful online business. Without them, it's going to be a tough road ahead. Use them as a "checklist" and make sure your online business is armed for success!
The 4 Giant Lies You’ve Been Told About Internet Marketing!
by: Dan Lok
Copyright 2005 Quick Turn Marketing International, Ltd. To quote Peter Finch from the iconic 1970's film "Network": I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore! There are so many lies, half-truths, and misguided misinformation out there about online marketing that it's driving me crazy! I just finished reading yet another ebook by yet another "successful" Internet marketing guru. It kills me because the only thing most of these gurus are successful at is selling themselves and their "snake oil" to unsuspecting business people. They don't know squat about marketing a business on the Internet. But they do know how to push buttons. So these self-proclaimed "experts" LIE to you just to sell you their latest crap… books, tapes, and seminars or whatever it is they think they can get people to buy. (Hell, I wouldn't be surprised is someone out there isn't selling the "Color by Number Marketing Kit" that comes with its own crayons!) These gurus make it sound sooooo easy to make money online. They say stuff like, "You don’t need a computer connection" or "You don’t need any experience," or "You don’t need a lot of money." According to them, you don’t even need a brain! You just need to BUY THEIR PRODUCT and you'll make a gazillion dollars online in 30 days… or less. If you believe in that crap, you need to have your head examined! I got news for you, Bucko. Marketing is work… and successful, bring-home-the-big-profits marketing is HARD work. That's because marketing isn't a crapshoot or a game of chance. It's a business. And just like any other LEGITIMATE business, you need to invest time, effort and energy to make it grow into a successful enterprise. And it even takes even MORE ENERGY to maintain that growth and manage your success for the long term. Now it's definitely true that the "wonders" of technology make it easier to succeed with an online business than a retail store. And even a one-person operation can utilize email, autoresponders, and the Internet's global marketing capabilities to grow rich. But although it's easier online, it’s still work. I know it's work because it's the work I do! I am the mentor for the some of the most super-successful websites/internet business people on the planet. I'm the behind-the-scene the guy, helping “little” businesses that are generating $5,000.00 to $10,000.00 a month and "big" businesses with annual revenue figures of $1,000,000.00 and MORE. There's one thing they have in common: they all agree with me that it takes dedication, commitment, and hard work to reap the benefits of selling online. Simply put: you get out what you put it. My clients aren't at the top of their industries by just pure dumb luck. Their upwardly mobile climb takes ongoing dedication, forward-thinking, and careful planning. Their success demands creativity, persistence, specialized knowledge, a quality product or service… plus good old-fashioned, shoulder to the wheel and nose to the grindstone, hard work. Of course, having a mentor helps, too! So right now, I'm going to mentor you and tell you the facts behind the big lies told across the Internet by the gurus of "make believe," not marketing. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Big Lie #1: You don’t need ANY money to get started. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = That’s just complete B.S. If you're flat broke and one paycheck from homeless, you’re gonna have a very tough time making it. Of course you need money to get started. Whaddya think… your smile is gonna pay the rent? Now you don’t need a lot of money to succeed online, it's true… certainly less than it would take to build and open your own Widget Shop on Main Street. But you do need some operating capital… and it stands to reason that having a large bankroll couldn't hurt. When your pockets are fat and your budget can include more money for “smart” marketing, you'll be able to see (and enjoy) the results of your efforts even faster. In short, it takes money to make money. It takes money to educate yourself… to research the marketplace... and to develop your product or service. It takes money to get a domain name, it takes money to host your site. It takes cold-hard cash to hire a designer to program your site and a copywriter to write a killer sales letter for you. You even need money in order to get a merchant account so you can accept the money your website generates. And most importantly, it takes money to DRIVE traffic to your site. Yeah… I know… I know! There are all those "free" traffic-generating ideas that you can pursue. I do a lot of them myself… but I don't trust my success to traffic I can't control. Most of the time, it costs me money to drive quality traffic to my site, and it will cost you, too. Could be Pay-Per-Click, could be running an ezine ad, could be doing some sort of offline promotion…. But the bottom line is -- you need to have a bottom line. Especially in the beginning, your cash-flow will be in one direction: OUT. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Big Lie #2: You don’t need a list. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = This is almost as ridiculous as "you don't need money." Give me a break. Sales aren't made to the man in the moon… they're made to people on your list. People you have carefully cultivated and "primed." You need to build a list because your money is IN the list! You need to build a “herd” as quickly as humanly possible… but don’t purchase one of those deals where you "GET A MILLION EMAILS ON ONE CD." (That's not a list -- that's spam-in-the-making.) And don’t do the co-registration deal. With this approach, where people go to a site to subscribe to a particular newsletter that they want, they find a checkbox (or other response mechanism) "advertising" your offer. If they're interested, they check the box to agree to receive mailings from you. This sounds like a good way to get traffic because unlike spam, you've been given permission to make contact. The problem is these people don’t know you from squat. To them, the checkbox is just an invitation for another form of spam. The online sales game -- any successful sale, in fact -- is about connecting with the right buyer and make the right offer. The right buyer comes from the right list. The best approach to list-building is strictly OLD SCHOOL: build it from scratch. That way, your list people are "pre-qualified" from the start. They KNOW you right from the beginning. They want to hear from you. They want to learn more from you. They want to listen to what you have to say. And with a list of people like that, it doesn't take long before they'll want to BUY from you = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Big Lie #3: You don’t need a product or service. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Crap. Crap. Crap. Let's try a little role-playing game. Pretend you and I were thinking about starting an offline business together. What if I said to you, "Oh, don't worry… all we need to do to succeed is open our store. We don’t need any products or services. But we'll still make oodles of money!" You'd think I was crazy, right? Well, then why in the world would you believe the same line of crap when it's being fed to you on the Internet by some expert whose credentials can't be verified? Commerce is all about products and services and if you want to do business, you NEED a quality product or service to sell. Preferably multiple products and services so that you can back-end sell your existing customers and increase their value to you exponentially by turning them into customers for life. Do I hear you asking, "Dan, what about those super-affiliates who are making a lot of money promoting other’s products and services?" That's a good question because yes, there are some exceptions to this rule. But the list of exceptions who do well with someone else's product or service is very short. Plus there are a lot of potential risks to being the middleman. For example, let me ask you this: what if that company you’re promoting products for go out of business? What if they change their products? Where does that leave you? The answer: High and dry. And I can’t even begin to tell you how many affiliate "horror stories" I've heard. It's common to hear about vendors not paying affiliates on-time. Or to learn that customers may bypass the affiliate link, so you don’t get paid. Vendors tracking software screws up, there are "technical difficulties" so you don’t get credited for the sale… and on, and on, and on. And here's a killer: more often than not, you don’t get to keep the customer, they do. Many affiliate programs are set up so that you only get credit for the first sale a consumer makes. After that, all the profits stay with the vendor. They keep all the back-end profits. And when they back-end sell their products and services, you don’t get a dime. It doesn't matter that your links are making the vendor rich. The effort is yours, but the profit is theirs. When it comes to my income… I'm a control freak! But affiliate programs are out of your control. Your financial well-being is in someone else's hands… and there's nothing you can do to manage your success. You can't test different things on your site because it’s NOT your site. You can't change what's not working because it's not yours to change. All you can do is cross your fingers and hope for the best… Hardly a recipe for success, I think you'll agree. I am not saying you can’t promote other peoples products, but very often you should do it as a back-end, not front-end. You front-end your own stuff, and you can back-end other products and services. There's still one more problem with promoting other people's stuff: when you stop promoting, your income also stops. You have to constantly be on the lookout to find the NEXT red-hot product and constantly be inking the next great deal. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Big Lie #4: You don’t need any experience. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Of course, you need experience to succeed online! The only job in the world that doesn't need experience is "virgin." If you want to make money, you need to get hip as quickly as humanly possible. You need to figure out what works, what doesn't, and how you can use all the "tricks of the trade" to build your success. That’s why having a mentor works. Working with someone who's "been there and done that" can save you time and money. Your income can only grow to the extent that you do. You must educate yourself… and you must be open to the process. Be prepared to make mistakes, try new things, and push yourself beyond your safe, secure comfort level. Do whatever it takes to earn your Masters at the School of Hard Knocks. Learn your lessons and develop the skill sets you need to make the kind of money you want to make. On this season's The Apprentice, Donald Trump put two teams in a head-to-head competition: book smarts and street smarts. You don't have to play for one team or another, you can take the best of both worlds for your success strategy. It pays to be educated and street-wise. Knowledge comes from books… and experience. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Big Lie #5: You don’t need any technical knowledge = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = This really is more of a medium-sized lie. It's definitely true that you can be a master online marketer even if you don't programming, HTML codes… and all that stuff. (Hey, you can watch television without understanding how it works!) However… while you don’t need to know the how-to, you DO need to know what needs to be done and what YOU need for your site. If you don't, you're as "at risk" for being had as a 17-year old car owner who visits the Bad Guys Auto shop. I'm the first to admit that before I got smart, I was screwed-over and taken advantage of by several dishonest webmasters. They did a lot of unnecessary programming and sent me a hefty bill. They charged me a lot of money and gave me crap. I definitely overpaid… but I didn't know any better. But you can be damn sure I rectified that situation with a little "quick study." I found out for myself that it doesn’t hurt to have a little of technical knowledge. If you're familiar with basic HTML -- at least when you want make changes to your site, you can do so instantly. There are many things that only a programming professional will be able to do for you. But it's nice when you don’t have to go to your webmaster and pay them per hour for a fix that could easily be a do-it-yourselfer. If you're the "exception that proves the rule" and are making money hand-over-fist as a super-marketer, you may disagree that the four big lies are lies at all. Congratulations on your success… but take it from me. For the average… even the above-average person… online marketing is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It’s a business and you have to treat it like a business. So if you're not yet rolling in dough, but would like to be part of the Internet moneymaking machine… Don’t buy into all the hype. Think it through. Use your common sense. Don't try and get rich quick or you may find yourself in the poor house! BUT… you CAN and you WILL make money if you’re willing to do what it takes. Dan Lok

The Real Truth about - "How to Make Money on the Internet."
by: Michael A Fowler, M.B.A.
You know... for a few years even I doubted that network marketing was a real business... Sure, I read about how to make money at home and how easy it was to make money online. Burning the candle at both ends... listening to seminars that told me all about residual income, how to achieve the status of “network marketing professional”, reading e-books that told me how great life is at the top... But – Hey... Hold On! How do you get there? I’ve joined a business but my upline doesn’t respond to my questions... the company are ‘brain dead’ and I don’t know what I am doing exactly... Is that how people make money on the Internet? Is that any way to start off in network marketing? Will that keep me in the business? It certainly did not. Then along came another business and a support team that I never even contemplated could exist anywhere on the Internet. That was many years ago... If I ever had any advice to pass on to people who are considering network marketing as a profession, then it would be to take a good look at what support is available, before even thinking about making money online. Next, have a look at how the company is structured. Don’t ever sign up for anything until you have checked it out very thoroughly. How ‘open to scrutiny’ is the business you are considering? If there are any conditions before you have a look, run for cover and take your money with you! Now... back to the subject. Is the ability to make money online for real? Yes, it is. I would ask anyone to dispute that fact. So many are disgruntled by their failure in network marketing but how many actually stood the test of time and worked at it as hard as they would with a boss standing over them? How many worked the same hours as they would in a job? I can honestly tell you that not many do the above and most have higher “Online” expectations than the network marketing company can deliver, or the average person can hope to accomplish. Building a downline is not easy but can be achieved with the right people duplicating your process and getting the right online support. Network Marketing is the only way to produce a lasting residual income. To make money at home, without having to find the funds that would normally be required to pay you a similar amount each month from a large investment. Why do people give up this ‘retirement plan’ so easily? Why do people work 40 plus hours a week just to pay the bills and yet do nothing to make money on the Internet and build a residual income for themselves? Why is a process that takes 40 years to accomplish considered a ‘better alternative’ than a network marketing plan that can accomplish this task within 4-5 years, with a similar amount of work? Yes, there are ‘scoundrel companies’ out there. That is why ‘due diligence’ is so important. How many people actually do any? Then they wonder why they are failing at it... Would you buy something from someone that you couldn’t see, couldn’t talk to and had no visible representation, no credibility and no experience in what they were doing or trying to sell you? No, you wouldn’t, yet it happens on the Internet every day! Yes, network marketing is a real business and you can make money on the Internet. It produces real full-time residual incomes for thousands of people worldwide but you must choose the right business with the right people and take the time to build your dream of Financial Freedom. Every time you think of quitting, stop and look at the alternatives... All people see, is what it is costing them. Does that ever amount into what you would pay for a franchise or alternative business? No, it does not. Whatever you may think of network marketing, it is still the only way that the ‘small guy’ can achieve financial freedom and success. Millions of people are making their money from home. Do they need expensive premises and huge overheads? No, they make money online, on the Internet, working at home.
The Top Ten eBay Buyer Personalities
by: Joe Clare
In my years of selling on eBay I have come across all sorts of people. For the most part these people have been very nice and easy to deal with. Having said that, there are always a small percentage, like in any business online or offline, who you'll have some degree of problem with. As explained in my book "eBay Marketing Wholesale SourcePak" you will need to be as polite as you possibly can and have a little patience when dealing with these people. Below you will find my Top Ten List of eBay Buyer Personalities and how to handle them. 10 - The Manipulator There will be times when you have an auction end with no bids. When this happens watch out for the Manipulator. This is an individual who will email you once you auction ends wanting to purchase your item off eBay at a ridiculously low price. He/she will often try to manipulate you into believing the product will not sell but he/she will be glad to take it off your hands. Forget about them! Do Not sell the item to them. Instead relist the item for auction on eBay with a new headline. If he/she wants it bad enough, they will have to get the item through your auction. And trust me 99% of the time your item will sell. 9 - The Impatient Buyer This is someone who has won your auction today and is wondering why it wasn't shipped yesterday. This individual wants what was purchased fast, real fast. Just have patience, be polite and explain your shipping process to him/her. Getting the product out quickly with a thank you note for purchasing will give you a happy customer. 8 - The Disappointed Buyer There are some people you just can not please, not even if you were to stand on your head. They will be disappointed no matter what you do. Sometimes these people can be down right rude and take up a lot of your time. Learn to recognize this type of person and don't get caught up in an on slot of emails. Remember that time is money, and once you have done all you can do to rectify their problem move on. If the emails continue simply ignore them. 7 - The Invisible Buyer This is someone who has won your auction but you never hear from them. Ever! They pay you right on time without any problems. So you send the product they won off to them. And that's it! They do not leave feedback, and do not return any emails. They just disappear into thin air. If you send a couple of follow up emails asking if they received their item and requesting positive feedback and you get no response, just forget them and move on. 6 - The Interrogator This individual could drive you crazy. It's not their fault, they just have questions. Lots of Questions! For these people even if every question imaginable is answered in your auction description, they'll still manage to find a reason to email you a question. Be weary of this type of individual they can, and will waste a lot of your time if you let them. On your first email to them be polite answer their question then refer them back to your auction description telling them all the answers are there. Suggest they read it again. Don't get caught up in email after email. Always remember that time is money, and if you've done your auction description correctly there should be no questions left to ask. Your auction surfer should be ready to make a bid. 5 - The Late Payer This customer has no clue about deadlines and they really don't seem to care about them either. Their attitude is you'll get paid when I am ready to pay you. You will need to set guidelines for when payment is due. If payment is not received you may choose to give your buyer one extension. Be specific giving him/her a date as to when the balance is due. Also tell them if payment is not received by that date you will have no other choice but to relist the item for auction. Sometimes a month or so down the road you'll end up getting a check in the mail from this person with a note as to why they were late. Simply return the payment with an explanation that the item was re-listed as he/she failed to meet the payment deadline and it has been sold to someone else. 4 - The Deadbeat There is no buyer more irritating than the one who is always telling you the check is in the mail. Of course the check never arrives. Unfortunately there is not much you can do about this. Like above give them a deadline and if they don't make it relist the item for auction again. 3 - The "I'm Sooo Confused" Buyer This customer does want to buy from you. Really, they do! If they could only figure out how! How to bid, how to pay, how to... All this high tech computer stuff is just way to confusing for them. Have patience and be polite. Explain what they should do next. If you find no matter how you explain things it just doesn't register with them, suggest they read over eBay's tutorials. Remember your time is money and you can only spend so much time with any potential customer before you must move on. 2 - The Spender This individual can spend a lot of money with you. And often will return as a repeat buyer usually purchasing a little of everything you have up for auction. This person will also spend $100.00 in merchandise in order to save $10.00 on shipping. Bless him/her! 1 - The Perfect Customer This individual is simply a Happy Person. He/she has won your auction and they are just ecstatic about it. The great thing about this type of buyer is if you run into a problem they are always understanding and easy to deal with. If looked after correctly, very often these people will become a customer for life. Now, don't we wish all customers were like this. So, there you have it. The Top Ten eBay Buyer Personalities. If you already sell on eBay I'm sure you will recognize some of these personality traits in your own customers. If you're just getting started with your eBay Auction Business no doubt you'll be running into these people soon. Whatever personality your day brings you, always be patience, polite and just have fun with it.
Things To Consider When Starting Your Own Work At Home Internet Business
by: Jeff Schuman
If you think that starting your own work at home internet business is the answer to your problems; whether it's money, child care, illness or a desire for more free time, then you MUST choose wisely. Too many individuals eagerly leave their paying jobs in order to work at home with their own internet business only to return to the unemployment arena looking for work and carrying a massive debt from their ventures. How can you find the answer to your quest for your own work at home internet business without failing? Here's 3 keys! DESIRE DISCRETION DISCIPLINE DESIRE ---- If you think that running own business and working at home at home is merely a matter of using your brains then you are sure to be disappointed. Successful entrepreneurs have a common thread no matter if they run the run a country gas station or a Fortune 500 company - DESIRE. If you don't have the drive and determination to work for yourself - if you can't give up the security of a regular pay cheque - you will have great difficulty working for yourself. DISCRETION ---- Expect to fail. There are many opportunities available. Some are good, some are frauds and several are absolutely perfect - for YOU. Each individual's strengths and talents will impact which business model will suit them best. If you are very shy or hate to talk to people than it would be wise to stay away from businesses that require a lot of face-to-face selling. If the product is not something you would personally use it is not something you will want to promote and that will show in your efforts. Take stock of your abilities and interests and try several businesses that are related. Not all will suit you, but trying things will ultimately improve your business skills overall. If you do fall for what turns out to be a fraud, consider it education and move on - you will not likely make the same mistake again. Consider talking to business owners who do what you want to do or to people who may use your product or service. Research the business and read the fine print! DISCIPLINE ---- You don't have a boss or a time clock, but if you expect to make a living then you will have to discipline yourself. Have a schedule that you follow every day. Plan your time wisely. Although many procrastinators actually do well working for themselves it is still vitally important to know what needs to be done and to have the discipline to follow through. A few bad jobs or unhappy customers can have lasting impact on your business. Many have found great happiness and success working for themselves. It is exciting to run your own internet business and work at home doing it!
To People Who Want To Make Money At Home, Make Money Online - But Can't Get Funding

Starting a business? Need adequate funding? To make money on the Internet, you need the funding to start your business. The first place to look for financing is right there at home. You plan to make money at home, so why not sort out some useable space? Make an inventory of items you don't need, or never use and have a garage sale. Most people are quite shocked by how much money can be raised in a single day, or over the weekend. You could try a profit sharing scheme with those who have trust in your abilities. Your close family or friends might want to help. If your credit rating is good, taking out a small manageable loan might be best for you. Starting any business carries a certain financial risk, so make sure you can carry the burden without putting yourself in financial jeopardy. Before you start to make money online, you will certainly have to invest some. No business can be run on fresh air and goodwill alone. As a sign I read once said; “In God We Trust – All Others Pay Cash”...
Top Ways To Create Ideas For Your Next Highly Read Article
by: Steve Searls
If you want to make money online a good strategy that won't cost you a dime is to write articles that relate to your product or service. Search Engines are constantly on the "look out" for freshly written content that has been submitted online. So how do you come up with ideas for your next article? Here are several suggestions that may help... * Hang out in online forums. Watch what people are talking about. Look at the questions they are asking. The topics that are bringing the greatest number of visitors would make for an excellent article. * Take a look at what information is being broadcast on TV, radio, newspapers, and online. This information is usually a hot topic. * Read blogs. What are people posting about? What kind of comments are they leaving? What questions do they have? Blogs are the hot internet marketing medium right now and you can literally find them everywhere on any topic. This is an excellent source for your next article idea. * Survey your current customers or website visitors. Ask them what kind of article they would like to see in your next ezine or published on your website. * Check bookstores online. What are the top sellers? This can be a good way to come up with an article that catches the attention of what people are reading. * Be seasonal. Write about what is going on that time of year. Holidays, festivals, sports, graduations, etc. all make for an article that someone will want to read. * Write an article about a current fad. There is always something that is hot at the time and could make for interesting reading from you. * Keep track of what your customers and prospects are asking you. If you get an email or phone call with a question this may make for a good article. Others may have the same question, but are afraid to ask it. * Start a swipe file on what others are writing about. If it is of interest to you it will probably be of interest to others. Never plagiarize the work of others, but you can certainly get good ideas this way. The biggest benefit of a swipe file is having it handy to refer back to over and over whenever you are ready to write your article and are not sure what you want to write about. If you still find it hard to write about your idea, you can hire a professional to ghostwrite it for you. The costs are minimal and, considering what's at stake, it could be the best investment you ever make. Here's a couple of resources to find professionally written articles. http://www.elance.com http://www.dmmarket.com/igr Hopefully this will give you some ideas on how to come up with your next article. The internet marketer who can write interesting articles has a huge leg up on their competition. If you can master this strategy there is no limit to how much money you can make online.
What Does It Take to Make Money Online?
by: Darrell Knox
Copyright 2004 Darrell Knox What a loaded question! Let’s narrow that down a bit and take it from the perspective of someone who wants to work from home and make money online in a home business. That will make it an easier question to answer. Let’s assume you’ve never had a website, don’t know how to get a merchant account, don’t know html, and are pretty much stuck with being an expert on sending and receiving email. What’s there for you to do online to make money? Lots, in fact! These days are not at all like a couple of years ago or even six months ago. If I only had all the opportunities to make money online when I started marketing! Here is a list of things you can do with just a website and a hosting account today: Sell affiliate products (products like reports, ebooks, hard goods of every conceivable make, model, size, shape and function, and much, much more). Sell services (do you know how big a business being a Virtual Assistant is these days? It’s quite amazing what you can do for people without ever meeting them face-to-face, anywhere in the world!) Online auctions (Ebay has made thousands and thousands of people full-time incomes from auctioning collectibles, antiques, and even brand new equipment and gadgets of all imaginable types. You name it, it has been sold on Ebay!) Membership sites: Know of any groups of people that would love to get insider information on virtually any topic? You could make money online with a membership site! The list is a long one and one I am not prepared to detail here. You have found your way onto the net and if you have been surfing for very long at all you know it is a gigantic super shopping mall. Who to you think is making the most money online? Aside from big corporations, most of the web is made up of sites put up by little businesses people work from home. I sell information and I love it. Most of the products I sell are other merchants’ products. I just drive traffic to my site, provide information, and point to relevant products related to the information I provide people looking for a way to make money online. I love helping people make their first few sales. After that, they are always hooked and cannot do enough to learn everything there is to know about how to make money online. Many people I have worked with now have a couple to several websites selling everything from reports to hard goods that can be shipped direct to their customers. Most people start out to make money online as affiliates of certain products or authors. This is a great way to get your feet wet and learn what making money online is all about. People then either work to create their own products (which they get 100% of the profits from) or expand their website into other related niches. |
What Is Wrong With Email Marketing?
by: Peter Dobler
Copyright 2005 Peter Dobler If you are active on the web promoting your products, affiliate programs or services, you probably sense where I’m going with the title of my article. We all put a lot of effort into our internet business. We all have the same hopes and dreams about where our internet business will go. Unfortunately we are all depended on too many variables that have to be just right at the right time. What is he talking about you might ask. Let’s take a simple example. Listening to self declared gurus of internet marketing they all tell you the same thing. “You have to build your list”, by that they mean your email list. After following this advice and spending hundreds of dollars in opt-in email leads and maintaining a list of over 5000 subscribers I was pretty convinced that success is just around the corner. This is as far away from the truth as human possible. I’m running a newsletter delivered daily and I send additional sales letters to pitch some of my affiliate products. I track every email with ad tracking and click through analysis. Guess what? Nothing! Sending daily emails and sometimes an additional sales letter would trigger something, at least a wave of cancellations, don’t you agree? Well, my conclusion of this mess is that over 90% of the emails never passed the SPAM filters. This is devastating. As you know most people sing up for newsletters through their free email accounts. The few who use their regular email address unsubscribe within a few days. Don’t get me wrong, newsletters are great and if done right they can help you to promote your business. I believe the key is that your newsletter needs to be unique and very narrow focused on a niche target. Going back to the email leads issue. Buying email leads from email harvesters it is a waste of money. Even if they are double or triple opt-in leads. Promoting a copied newsletter is a waste of money. Why bother to promote something that is already promoted hundreds of times? If you are targeting the people who are looking to make money online, your target audience is pretty narrow and they probably have already subscriptions to one or another form of marketing newsletter. I’m actually shifting my focus completely and put a newsletter together to help people to get started with real estate investments, especially Florida real estate. As you can see this is a very narrow target audience. If I get a couple of hundred subscribers I will be happy. If you’re interested send an email to mailto:suncoastrenttoown@getresponse.com I will let you know when the newsletter will be available. The bottom line of my story is, don’t advertise to the advertiser. You just waste your time and money. That’s the main reason why people getting frustrated with their internet business and simply quit. This is like car dealers advertise solely to other car dealers. What do you think will happen? I know what you are thinking. What happened to him? Didn't he tell us in his article "Where's the Traffic?" that email lists are the cure to non-visited websites? Yes, that's true. I still believe that autoresponders are good business practice to communicate with your customers. I just didn't see the value of buying email leads. Yes, I changed my opinion, which is plain human nature and happens to all of us. I hope this made you think a little bit and if you can turn your business into the profitable margins based on my little advice please let me know. I’m eager to hear if somebody actually is listening to what I have to say. |
